ABOUT
Platform Artists Group Inc. was established by artists Andrew Seward and Richard Holt in 1990as a non-profit public art organisation.
Twenty-one years on, and as Melbourne's longest running artists-run initiative and public art project in the CBD, Platform continues to provide an engaging contemporary art program to public audiences at two main locations: the pedestrian underpass linking Flinders Street Station to Degraves Street, and the Majorca Building in Flinders Lane.

SPACES
Our main exhibition space Platform is locatedin Campbell Arcade, also known as Degraves Street Subway, Melbourne. Built in the Art Deco style in 1956 for the Olympic Games the arcade features an original retail precinct and a thoroughfare lined with 12 display cabinets originally intended for advertising [See floorplan below for dimensions]. Vitrine is a large floor to ceiling display area featuring deco curved glass, floor boards and a mirrored backboard.
Sample is a single project showcase next to the coffee vendor. This site is curated through the Platform Emerging Curator Mentorship Program during the second half of the year.
